2026 World Cup Qualifiers: I wish for us to triumph over Chad – Otto Addo

Ghana’s head coach Otto Addo has highlighted the significance of achieving victory as the Black Stars gear up for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Chad.

The two teams are scheduled to compete on Thursday, September 4, at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno in N’Djamena for the seventh round of the qualifiers.

In his comments prior to the game, Addo, aged 47, conveyed his belief in the team’s potential to secure all three points.

“Our immediate aim is the match against Chad, and I am hopeful that we will succeed,” he stated.

After their outing in Chad, Ghana will travel back to Accra to take on Mali on Monday, September 8, for the eighth matchday.

The team plans to conduct training sessions at the Accra Sports Stadium today and tomorrow morning before heading to N’Djamena.

Currently, Ghana leads Group I with 15 points accumulated over six games, putting the Black Stars in a strong position for their fifth World Cup qualification.

They will conclude their qualifying journey in October with matches against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
