Stop The Noise – Kankam Boadu Slams Abronye, Owusu Bempah, And Alex Tetteh

The internal dynamics of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) appear to be heating up once again as prominent party member Kankam Boadu has openly criticized Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, controversial preacher Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, and outspoken communicator Alex Tetteh. His sharp remarks, described by many as a bold intervention, have sparked conversations about discipline, unity, and the direction of the party as it prepares for a crucial political season.

Speaking during a radio discussion in Accra, Kankam Boadu expressed his frustration with what he described as “unnecessary noise” coming from certain individuals within and around the party. According to him, constant public outbursts, divisive commentary, and personal attacks are gradually eroding the image of the NPP. He stressed that party loyalists must learn to prioritize strategy and decorum over sensationalism.

“Abronye, Owusu Bempah, and Alex Tetteh must stop the noise. This behavior does not help us as a party. It creates confusion, divides our ranks, and gives the opposition unnecessary ammunition,” Boadu firmly stated.

His comments come at a time when political tension within the NPP is high, with factions already aligning ahead of the 2028 elections. Abronye is known for his fiery and often controversial remarks, while Rev. Owusu Bempah has been accused of dragging religion into partisan politics. Alex Tetteh, on the other hand, has become popular for his frequent media commentaries, some of which have been criticized as too combative.

Party insiders say Boadu’s remarks reflect a growing concern among elders who believe that the constant back-and-forth in the media is weakening the NPP’s appeal to floating voters. They argue that instead of projecting unity, the party appears to be consumed by internal wrangling.

Supporters of Abronye, Owusu Bempah, and Alex Tetteh have, however, defended them, saying they are only speaking the truth and protecting the interests of the party. Yet, critics insist that the manner and tone of their interventions do more harm than good.

Kankam Boadu concluded his remarks with a call for restraint, urging party members to focus on constructive engagement rather than public bickering. “We must remain focused on governance and unity if we want to win the trust of Ghanaians again,” he emphasized.

As the debate continues, it is clear that the call for discipline and order within the NPP will remain a topical issue in the months ahead.
