Tiktok launches artiste insights platform in Ghana
TikTok has rolled out TikTok for Artistes in Ghana, expanding the music analytics platform to one of Africa’s most vibrant creative markets.
The tool, which debuted globally earlier this year, is designed to give musicians and their teams deeper insight into how their songs perform on the app.
Through daily dashboards and detailed analytics, artistes can track song plays, creator engagement, post-performance and audience demographics.
The platform also includes step-by-step guides to TikTok’s features, as well as resources for long-term career growth.
One of the most notable additions is the Pre-Release tool, which lets musicians set up campaigns ahead of new projects and allow fans to pre-save albums on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
“TikTok has always been a key space for music discovery and promotion across Africa,” said Toyin Mustapha, Head of Music Partnerships for TikTok in the UK, Ireland and Sub-Saharan Africa. “With the launch of TikTok for Artists in Ghana, we’re giving artists and their teams access to insights that can help them engage their fans in more meaningful ways and grow their careers globally.”
The rollout highlights TikTok’s push to deepen its role in the African music ecosystem.
Ghana joins a growing list of markets where the company is positioning itself as both a discovery hub and an industry partner.
For artistes with certified TikTok Artist Accounts, the service is free to access, with options to share data with managers and label teams.
British musician Jordan Adetunji, who has 640,000 followers on TikTok, described the platform as a “game changer” for helping him and his team plan campaigns.
The move underlines TikTok’s bid to strengthen its footprint in Africa’s fast-growing music industry, where the app has become a driver of trends and viral hits.
