MP demands arrest of perpetrators in viral child assault video

The Member of Parliament for Twifo-Atti Morkwa in the Central Region, David Theophilus Dominic Vondee, has urged the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, to take swift action and apprehend those responsible for a disturbing viral video depicting the brutal assault of a 10-year-old boy.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam, Mr. Vondee described the content of the video as “horrific” and demanded immediate accountability.

“If the police refuse to arrest the perpetrators, then the police service is useless,” he asserted.

In the footage, the child is shown with his hands bound, being beaten severely, and having pepper applied to his body.

A visibly angry Mr. Vondee questioned the rationale behind such inhumane treatment.

“Has this child committed murder?” he asked rhetorically, expressing disbelief at the brutality.

“Mr. Minister, this incident is horrible and should not happen to a human being. Act now,” he charged.

He reaffirmed his commitment to monitoring the situation until the perpetrators are brought to justice.

“I will continue to follow this case until action is taken,” he vowed.
