GAF outlines measures to ease recruitment centre crowds

Naval Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director-General of the Department of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has assured that measures are in place to reduce overcrowding at recruitment centres for the upcoming exercise in the Greater Accra Region, set to begin Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News on Monday, November 17, Captain Arhin explained that all prospective recruits for the Ghana Air Force will report to the Air Force Base in Burma Camp, while those aiming to join the Navy will report to the Eastern Naval Base in Tema. El-Wak will continue to serve as the screening centre for the Army.

She added that El-Wak will be divided into two main screening groups to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

According to Captain Arhin, the exercise will run for a minimum of five days, with applicants invited based on their serial numbers.

She emphasized that SMS notifications will be sent to indicate the date, time, and venue for each applicant. Applicants can also check the GAF portal or contact the recruitment team directly if they do not receive an SMS.

“For those who wish to call, the number is 0256405104. For WhatsApp inquiries, the number is 0256405154,” she said.
