Gov’t urged to pursue killers of Borae Ahenfie Chief and two others

The Paramount Chief of Takpang Traditional Area in the Krachi Nchumuru District, Nana Akwasi Omankuminte II, has called on the government to take urgent action to bring to justice those responsible for the murder of the late Nana Meebo II, Chief of Borae Ahenfie.
The late chief, who was also the brother and linguist of Nana Omankuminte II, was killed alongside two others in the Oti Region. Their bodies were discovered on a farm on November 19, 2022.
The trio was laid to rest on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in a solemn ceremony observing Nchumuru customs.
Speaking at the funeral grounds, Nana Omankuminte II expressed frustration that 14 suspects arrested shortly after the killings were later released by the Krachi West District Court. He urged the government and relevant state institutions to fast-track investigations and bring the case before a High Court.
