Hearts of Oak’ $70,000 transfer saga with New Edubiase is being resolved – Opare Addo

Kwame Opare Addo, the Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, has stated that the team is diligently striving to resolve the $70,000 transfer conflict with New Edubiase.

Hearts of Oak has received a transfer ban owing to an issue with New Edubiase related to the $70,000 transfer payment.

The prohibition was imposed because the club failed to meet the ultimate deadline for payment, thus leading to the ban.

This ban corresponds with Article 15(1)(c) of the GFA Disciplinary Code and was enforced after Hearts of Oak did not meet the final payment due date on May 31, 2025.

On Asempa FM on Monday, June 23, 2025, Opare Addo acknowledged the ruling from the Ghana Football Association while emphasizing that the club is actively working on resolving the matter.

“This is a problem that is in the process of being settled. I can assure you that once it is finally resolved, New Edubiase will confirm it has been taken care of.

“Perhaps it could be settled in just a few moments. Once everything is finalized, and you approach New Edubiase, they will also verify that. Both parties are in regular communication to ensure that it occurs, but everything stated in the GFA documents is accurate,” he mentioned.
