‘I resigned from TV3 because of a death prophecy’ – MzGee

Ghanaian media personality MzGee has revealed that her decision to resign from TV3 was influenced by a death prophecy she received in 2021.

Speaking on her Gee O’clock show, shared on social media on August 22, 2025, MzGee explained that the prophecy, delivered in her absence at an Assemblies of God Church, specifically mentioned a female television presenter on a reality show whose life was in danger.

According to her, the message was conveyed to a close friend during a church service, but it was evident that the warning referred to her, especially in connection with her role as host of Mentor, TV3’s flagship reality show. The revelation, she said, left her deeply unsettled.

“If you followed my career, you know I used to host Mentor, and we were getting close to that time of the year. The prophecy didn’t say I should resign, but I asked myself, would I have ignored it and then gone to stand on stage only to fall and die? So, yes, I ran with it. That was why I resigned,” she explained.

MzGee added that at the time, she was also experiencing troubling dreams about death, which reinforced her decision to take the prophecy seriously.

The media personality clarified that her resignation had nothing to do with speculation of jealousy or conflict with colleagues. Instead, it was a personal decision to safeguard her life.

She further noted that while she acknowledges the existence of charlatans in the prophetic space, she believes that prophecies should not be taken lightly.

“Even if it’s a charlatan and they say something about me, I will still run to the altar I believe in and pray against it. When I had this prophecy, I didn’t sleep. I prayed, fasted, and followed directions,” she revealed.

The prophecy she referenced, which she played during her show, captured a pastor declaring, “You know that station? Pray very well. Somebody close to you who works with a TV station, a woman, for that matter, pray. Because I see somebody on a TV reality show, and the person’s life is in danger, a fair, tall lady.’”
