Malik Basintale breaks silence on stroke rumours

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale, has reacted to rumours of him being bedridden due to ill health.

Basintale, who is also the Deputy National Communication Officer, was rumoured to be sick with a stroke.

Reports on social media suggested that the YEA CEO, who has not been in the limelight for weeks, was seeking medical treatment in London.

However, in a post shared on Sunday, November 16, 2025, Basintale refuted the rumours, describing them as “fake news.”

He said that he is not sick with a stroke and has not travelled to the capital of the United Kingdom.

“Kurugu Toli: ton ton je!! Ignore the false news… No stroke, no London!” he wrote on Facebook.

The NDC Deputy National Communication Officer, in a virtual interview with The1957News, reportedly stated that he was in “excellent condition.”

A video of the interview showed a healthy-looking Basintale beaming with smiles.
