
Meet The 13 Media Personalities Appointed By President Mahama So Far
The number of media personalities who have been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama, since taking office on January 7, 2025, has increased, following the appointment of Bridget Otoo on Friday, 27th June, 2025.
Below are the 13 media personalities who have been appointed so far:
1. Dr. Randy Abbey
Appointed Acting CEO of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD). He was the long-time host of Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana and has a background in sports management. This was confirmed in a report by the Daily Graphic.
2. Stanislav Xoese Dogbe
Serving as Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations). He is a former journalist at Joy FM and was also a Presidential Staffer in Mahama’s previous government. This is according to a report by TV3.
3. Shamima Muslim
Appointed Deputy Presidential Spokesperson. She worked with Citi FM and Metro TV and founded the Alliance for Women in Media Africa (AWMA). This is according to a report by the Daily Graphic.
4. Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD)
Now Director of Diaspora Affairs. He is known for his media work and his fashion event, Rhythms on Da Runway. This is according to a report by Joy News.
5. Abeiku Santana
Serving as Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority. He is a well-known radio host and tourism promoter. This is according to a report by Joy News.
6. John Dumelo
Appointed Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture. He is an actor and a strong advocate for agriculture. This is according to a report by Joy News.
7. Dzifa Gomashie
