Prophet Kofi Oduro slams pastors over doom prophecies on President Mahama

The General Overseer of Alabaster International Ministries, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has lambasted some pastors in the country following numerous doom prophecies targeting President John Dramani Mahama and his administration.

In a video shared on YouTube on August 25, 2025, Prophet Oduro, while ministering to his congregation, expressed displeasure with certain clergy members and the government following its recent directive requiring religious leaders to submit prophecies of national significance for review.

He emphasised that the government directive could create a platform for some prophets to deliver fake prophecies and added that the government and such prophets should “take their nonsense away.”

“We are here talking nonsense that if anyone receives any revelation, the person should submit it for review. What kind of nonsense is that? Do you know the kind of prophecies some people want to manifest?

You will give a stupid prophet the chance to deliver fake prophecies. Take your nonsense away,” he said.

Prophet Kofi Oduro further noted that the country doesn’t need such a policy but rather practical solutions like good roads and schools.

“Shut that office; we don’t need it. We need hospitals and schools. Look at the rubbish road we have, and you are opening a door for what nonsense?” he added.
