Prophet Nigel Gaisie Predicts West African Coup Before March 2026

Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder and General Overseer of Prophetic Hill Church, has issued a bold and urgent prophecy: he claims to have seen a coup d’état attempt in West Africa that could unfold between now and February or March 2026.
In a recent post, Gaisie said he believes two to three military takeovers will hit parts of Africa before the middle of 2026 and one of them is very close. He appealed to spiritual leaders and believers to raise their voices in prayer and to stay vigilant: Let the watchers of the nations pray, he urged.
This prophecy arrives against a backdrop of rising instability in the region. West Africa has become part of the so-called “coup belt”, a term used to describe a growing number of military seizures of power in recent years. Gaisie’s warnings resonate strongly with this broader trend raising alarm bells among his followers and political watchers alike.
In addition to the coup prophecy, Gaisie has previously made other geopolitical predictions. For instance, he stated that he saw a return of a former leader in Côte d’Ivoire, an insight he described as cautious but spiritually clear. He has also spoken about security threats in Ghana, and even claimed to have fasted for a year to secure divine favor in politics.
Critics, however, are skeptical. Some argue that mixing spiritual visions with political forecasting can stoke fear, while others wonder whether such prophecies reflect real geopolitical risk or are simply part of Gaisie’s brand. But amid real coups and fragile governance in the region, his prophecy may hit a nerve.
Whether Gaisie’s vision will materialize remains to be seen. But for now, he is calling on people across West Africa to take his warning seriously to pray more earnestly, watch more closely, and prepare spiritually and politically for what could come.
