Rapper Edem shows significant disappointment after Agbeko turns down rehabilitation

Rapper Edem has conveyed his frustration after his attempts to assist former artist Agbeko did not lead to the anticipated results.

In a post shared on X, Edem outlined the actions taken by himself and his team to aid Agbeko’s recovery following the latter’s emotional disclosure about his life struggles during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

“I regret to share with all those concerned and Agbeko’s family that our entire team reached out to him, and we did everything within our power to help him find a new direction,” Edem stated, clarifying that they committed both time and resources to help guide Agbeko toward rehabilitation.

He mentioned spending the entire day with Agbeko in an effort to support and motivate him. “Earlier today, I spent the full day with him from the salon to a place to eat,” Edem pointed out, noting that their support continued well into the night.

The rapper went on to share that they visited the Pantang health facility, hoping to enroll Agbeko in a rehab program, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

“We spent an additional four hours at Pantang health facility, where he declined to join a rehabilitation program, despite the professional guidance and support we provided,” he said.

Edem thanked everyone who played a part in the intervention efforts. “I appreciate all who helped out and the VRMG team,” he expressed.

Agbeko’s recent public admission regarding his financial downfall and battle with drug addiction garnered significant empathy.

In his Hitz FM interview, he revealed that his difficulties started after “a girl I met at a concert introduced me to drugs,” a statement that ignited discussions about mental health, addiction, and the hidden struggles faced by many artists.
