Teacher and Farmer die in separate suspected suicides in Central Region

A basic school teacher and a farmer have reportedly died in separate incidents in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region, in cases police suspect to be suicides.
The teacher, Emmanuel Quainoo, 38, of Faith Academy Basic School, had recently returned to work after a period of absence.
Sources said he left the school around noon, telling colleagues he was going to seek medical care. He was later found unresponsive in his room at Assin Fosu and has been deposited at the morgue.
In a related incident, Ato Kwamena, 43, a farmer from Assin Betinsinso, has allegedly shot himself. Family members said he contacted a relative immediately after the act, requesting urgent help.
He was rushed to a nearby health facility but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Both cases have been reported to the police, and investigations are ongoing.
