This is the fifth time I have had surgery on my arm – McBrown
Ghanaian actress and media figure Nana Ama McBrown has revealed that she has had surgery on her arm for the fifth time.
During an appearance on Onua TV on August 25, 2025, she openly discussed her health experiences, highlighting the emotional and financial impacts that these repeated surgeries have had on her life.
“This marks the fifth occasion I have had surgery on my hand. The incident happened once, but the damage keeps returning. I have invested a significant amount into it. I often think, what if I weren’t in this position? What if it were someone without the means to pay? That individual might have chosen amputation,” she explained.
Nana Ama McBrown has undergone several surgical procedures both in her home country and internationally as she seeks complete healing.
She mentioned that in spite of the challenges, she maintains a hopeful outlook.
“The incident occurred, but God saved my life, and only my arm was harmed. I prayed for healing, and He answered my prayers. I am the one who supports my family, so I still need to work. For nearly 13 years, I’ve been working using just one hand,” McBrown shared.
She expressed that she is currently on the road to full recovery and plans to be more careful with her hand in the future.
“There are times when I’m presenting a show that I forget my hand is still in pain, and I try to keep the energy high. However, this time I will be more careful. I can now move my hand without experiencing pain, and I thank God for that,” McBrown concluded.
