Thomas Partey rejoins black stars for upcoming matches against Chad and Mali
Villarreal CF midfielder Thomas Partey has been selected for Ghana’s team for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September against Chad and Mali.
Partey, who was absent from the recent Black Stars match at the 2025 Unity Cup held in London, is currently engaged in an active legal matter in England.
Derrick Kohn, defender for Union Berlin, has also received his inaugural call-up, joining well-known players like Alexander Djiku, Jordan Ayew, and Mohammed Kudus.
Ghana is set to take on Chad in N’Djamena on September 4, before coming back to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
The Black Stars are presently leading Group I, with a three-point advantage over Comoros in second place and a five-point lead over Madagascar in third.
